About:
Helo - Hello!
I’m Lowri, one of the Wellbeing Ambassadors. A speech and language therapist, wannabie triathlete and single parent. I am passionate about exercise, being in the great outdoors and the Welsh language! I hope to organise some ‘adventure meet-ups’ where we can challenge ourselves and, our kids to recognise that we’re really amazing!
Lowri ydw i, llysgennad iechyd a llês. Yn fam sengl, therapydd iaith a lleferydd ac un sy’n hoff o wneud treiathlon (yn araf!) Rwyf wrth fy modd gyda ymarfer corff, bod yn yr awyr iach a’r iaith Gymraeg!
Yn gobeithio cynnal digwyddiadai gyda elfen o antur a chyfle i ni ymestyn ein hunain a’n plant i brofi i’n hunain ein bod yn arbennig iawn!
The regulars call it The Motorway – but they love it all the same. The four mile circular walk from the Storey Arms Outdoor Centre or the nearby Pont ar Daf car park is a classic. Starting at around 440m, the climb to Pen y Fan’s 886m peak is very manageable. But there’s nothing modest about the wild, open, moorland. It takes my breath away as I stride along.
When the weather’s good, even small children can tackle this route.
What age is the event suitable for?: 6+ but it’s up to you if you think younger ones can manage. Babies can be put in carriers if you fancy doing it like that aswell.
Adult must attend with children
